''We regard our relationship with Scottish Bakers as one of the best decisions in Learning and Development area. The Scottish Vocational Qualifications program forms integral part on our performance management system. Training advisors listen to our needs and are able to tailor their training sessions to suit our development requirements and operational demands.
Level of service and quality of the training delivered is exceptional. Advisers are very knowledgeable in their field and very approachable. They are very committed and engaged in helping candidates with learning difficulties. They would long hours and nightshift to ensure availability of the qualifications for all interested employees.
The training was extremely well received by all of our staff involved and the feedback we had from everyone has been excellent. We will certainly be using Scottish Bakers in the future and we would have no hesitation in recommending their services to any organisation for their own training needs.''
Malwina Florjanczyk, HR Officer, Uin Foods Ltd, Cambusland, Glasgow
“Investing in your staff and making sure they improve their qualifications has had a huge impact on the success of my business. One of the best things about the training was that it happened on the job and covered the exact skills required for my staff including merchandising & display, customer service and maximising sales. This had an immediate impact on my business with measurable increases in sales and levels of motivation within the team”.
"I have been a member of Scottish Bakers for many years but only recently have I learned that building a lasting relationship with the association can benefit my business so I plan to continue working closely with Ann Yorkston and the training team”.
Alister Rennie , Rennie's Bakery, Kilsyth
"Keep doing what you are doing now."
Stewart Barnett, GH Barnett, Anstruther

“ It was such a surprise when I learned that I won (the James Allan Competition for young and talented bakers) and now have this amazing opportunity to come down to Glenbervie to meet all these experienced bakers and learn new things. I will definitely take part next year and I would like to say thanks to Mr Allan and Scottish Bakers Team for organising this competition and investing in us youngsters”.
Helen Simmons, Sandwick Bakery, Shetland
"Give me another Ann Yorkston full time! (Ann Yorkston is a senior Training Advisor at Scottish Bakers). I have been lucky enough to have had a lot of help from Ann and I am very grateful for that."
Pamela Chalmers, Chalmers Bakery, Bucksburn
''Having completed IPQ level 2 proficiency in baking skills, I am writing to tell you how I feel this has gone. I am really pleased that Betty's decided to let us achieve our level 2, I believe this has really helped with learning the under pinning knowledge.
I know that without the work set by Henry (Henry Jeffries is Trainign advisor at National Bakery Training) I would not have learnt half as much of the science that I now know. I have really enjoyed answering the question set by Henry and doing the reports also. I really enjoy researching and I think this is my best learning style.
I do feel that having already been working at Betty's for 6 months before we started the IPQ, some of the units were a bit basic. But I am really looking forward to getting stuck into level 3.''
Lauren Lane, Candidate, Betty's Bakery, North Yorkshire
